Team building techniques and intergroup communication skills. Understanding the distinction between group dynamics and team dynamics. Achieving and maintaining quality of a product throughout the production process. Working toward continuous improvement of product or process. Customer satisfaction. The use of hand and power tools. Layout, drawing, cutting, drilling, finishing, filling and sanding. Techniques for transferring from sketch to blueprints. The use of precision instruments in the taking of measurement: 12' scale, hydrometer, height gauge, micrometer, caliper, and other precision tools. The business cycle, and how it is affected by economic and financial forces.

Product and Process Control Safety and Health Print Interpretation Resource Mgmt and Manufacturing Computing Labor in Industry
Continuous quality control for product or process, customer satisfaction, quality improvements. Continuous flow process and how affected by inventory, raw materials, and work in progress. Statistical process control and the use of data collection to report variations within the process. Basic shop and lab safety skills. Basic first aid and CPR skills. Accident and injury prevention. Using lines, symbols, section views, use of design tooling manuals, major drawing areas and their parts, types of tool drawing. Also, deviations and special orders. Acquisition and use of manufacturing materials. CNC process. History of labor unions and their current roles in today's workplace. Labor negotiations, contacts, safety, political action, worker issues.
