The Seattle Community College District, serving all of metropolitan Seattle and its surrounding communities, is the flagship community college district in the State of Washington.

  • Duwamish Training Center
  • NewHolly Learning Center
  • Downtown Retail Skills Center
  • Sand Point Training Center
  • Seattle Maritime Academy
  • ·Wood Construction Center

The colleges enjoy unique relationships with their neighborhoods, local business communities and civic leadership. While each college offers certain unique educational programs, all three are comprehensive and offer programs in college transfer, technical and career training, basic studies, and continuing education for personal and professional development.

The Seattle Community Colleges have gained a national reputation for leadership in curriculum development and student services. Students can choose from more than 135 programs of study, the largest variety in the state.

The student body in the Seattle Community College District is among the Northwest's most diverse, attracting 43% ethnically diverse students. More than half of the student body works full or part-time, and 15% already hold a bachelor's degree or higher.

The District was established by the State Community College Act of 1967, with a mandate to provide "an open door to education" to all who seek it. Since that time, more than one million students have become alumni of the Seattle Community Colleges.
